Karl and I have been friends for about a year. I had no idea of the accomplishments this man has made until he showed me this video. I didn't realize that he was even on tv. If you are not following him on Twitter you are missing out. He always acknowledges my tweets and is one of my favorite people on Twitter. He has contests where you can win merchandise.

New Club: Blog Update Tweeters Club

Hello again. I have decided to open a club.

1) This club is open to anyone with a blog and would like to exchange blog updates (tweets) with other members.

2) The blog must have an RSS feed.

3) The content of the blog post must be useful information preferably of a non-commercial nature. No bad links (nudes, mal-ware, warez, etc. - No Unsafe Links!)

4) Ads are permitted in non-post areas of the blog. (Blog Top, Sidebar, Bottom)

5) Once this system is set up it runs on auto-pilot. Whenever a member updates their blog all participating members will tweet the blog post update in their time line.

What you need to get started:

1) An active twitter account.

2) Any blog with an RSS feed.

I.E. This blogs RSS feed:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/ManfredsSocialMedia
My Music blogs RSS feed:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/ManfredsMusicMonday

You could also use Atom RSS Feed or anything similar.
WordPress RSS Feeds look like this:
http://BLOGNAME.wordpress.com/feed/

3) An account with twitterfeed.com


How to get this all set up in less then an hour:

1) If you already have a qualified blog this will save lots of time. If you don't have a blog I recommend Blogger.com aka Blogspot.com. They are owned by Google and it is real easy to get sponsored adsense ads on your page.



2) Open a twitterfeed.com account and log in. Click on Create Feed button.

3) Step 1: Enter Feed Name and Your blogs RSS feed. Use Feedburner.com to create feed (optional). Press test feed and make sure the active box is checked. Hit Advanced settings. Update frequency: Every 6 hours and post up to 1 new update(s) at a time. Post Content: Titles Only. Make sure Post link box is checked and shorten link through your favorite link shortener. I use bit.ly

4) Continue to Step 2: Available Services: Select Twitter. Enter the twitter account you would like the updates to be tweeted from. Press Update Service button and make sure box is checked active.

5) Hit All Done.

Congratulations you have successfully installed a twitter feed that will tweet your blog updates automatically for you when you add a new blog post to your blog.

To enter another members blog RSS feed into your tweeting sessions. Repeat from Step 1 with the members information. You can try it with my RRS feed information above. Use one or both. Then post your Blog Name and Blog RSS feed in the comments section and I will add your blog to my twitter updates. If you have any questions or difficulties post a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
